How the Universe Was Created

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Before one practices the act of speaking, we must take in a breath of air. When we cast words out of our mouth through spelling we are creating a sound effect or vibration. The same thing happened when the Creator birthed the world into existence using the word. The word is a metaphor for sound.

The sound that God breathed out when the univese was born is called OM. "Om" (also spelled "Aum") is considered a sacred sound and is often regarded as the first sound of creation.
