Sacred Sacrament Ceremonies

Sacred Sacrament Ceremonies are central to the spiritual practices of Heal Earth Church. The medicine plants are considered a sacrament and are to be used in ceremonies to promote healing, spiritual insight, and communion with the divine. These ceremonies often involve prayer, singing, drumming, and the ingestion of the sacred sacraments.

Genesis 1:11-12 "Then God said, 'Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.' And it was so. The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good."

Prayer and Meditation

Prayer is a fundamental aspect of Heal Earth Church. Members pray for personal guidance, healing, and the well-being of their community. Prayer often accompanies the use of peyote and other ceremonial activities. Meditation is a form of silent prayer. Jesus emphasized the importance of private, sincere prayer in His teachings. He encouraged His followers to seek the Father in a private place, away from public attention and distractions, to foster a genuine and personal relationship with God.

Matthew 6:5-6 (NIV):

"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

Singing and Music

Songs and music play a vital role in Heal Earth Church ceremonies. Singing, often accompanied by drumming and rattles, helps create a spiritual atmosphere and aids in the participants' connection with the divine. Many songs are traditional and have been passed down through generations.

Ceremonial Leaders

Ceremonies are usually led by a medicine person who is knowledgeable in the spiritual and practical aspects of the rituals. The leader guides participants through the ceremony, offering prayers, teachings, and support.

Community Gatherings

Heal Earth ceremonies are communal events that bring members together. These gatherings foster a sense of unity and shared purpose. They provide an opportunity for communal worship, mutual support, and the strengthening of cultural and spiritual bonds.

Healing Practices

The Heal Earth Church places a strong emphasis on healing—both physical and spiritual. Ceremonies often seek to address the health and well-being of individuals and the community. Healing practices may include prayers, the use of medicinal plants, and the guidance of spiritual leaders.

Ethical and Moral Teachings

Members of Heal Earth Church are encouraged to live by ethical and moral principles that promote respect, honesty, and harmony. These teachings often draw from Jewish, Christian, and Native American values.

Use of Sacred Objects

Ceremonies may involve the use of various sacred objects, such as feathers, rattles, drums, and altars. These items hold spiritual significance and are treated with great respect.

Respect for Nature

A deep respect for nature and the environment is a core value of Heal Earth Church. Ceremonies and teachings often emphasize the interconnectedness of all life and the importance of living in harmony with the natural world.
