It's Time to Criminalize Radical Islam

We must criminalize radical Islam before the Muslim Brotherhood succeeds in raising a generation of radical domestic terrorists.

Domestic Extremist Ideology Act

Purpose: To address and prevent domestic terrorism by criminalizing the promotion of violence and extremist ideologies that target innocent individuals and undermine societal values.

Definitions

  • Domestic Terrorism: The use of violence, threats, or intimidation against civilians, including incitement to violence based on extremist ideologies.

  • Extremist Ideologies: Beliefs or teachings that promote violence, discrimination, or the subjugation of individuals based on religion, gender, or other protected categories.

  • Religious Institution: Includes mosques, churches, synagogues, temples, or any other place of worship.

Criminalization of Extremist Teachings

  • Prohibition on Incitement to Violence: It shall be a criminal offense for any religious institution or individual to promote, teach, or incite violence against innocent persons or any protected category of individuals.

  • Prohibition on Gender Discrimination: It shall be a criminal offense for any religious institution or individual to teach or advocate that women are to be treated as property, slaves, or to be subjected to any form of ownership.

Penalties

  • Criminal Penalties: Establish specific penalties for individuals and religious institutions found guilty of violating these prohibitions, including fines, imprisonment, or both.

  • Revocation of Charitable Status: Religious institutions convicted under this act may face revocation of their tax-exempt status and other legal consequences.

Due Process and Protections

  • Freedom of Religion: This legislation shall not infringe upon the fundamental rights to freedom of religion and expression as guaranteed by the Constitution. Enforcement actions must adhere to due process and respect for constitutional freedoms.

  • Judicial Review: Any individual or institution accused under this act shall have the right to a fair trial and judicial review of the charges.

Implementation and Oversight

  • Establishment of Oversight Committee: Create a committee to oversee the implementation of this legislation, ensuring that it is enforced fairly and that constitutional rights are protected.

  • Reporting and Accountability: Require regular reporting on the enforcement of this act and the outcomes of related legal proceedings.

Education and Prevention

  • Public Awareness Campaigns: Implement educational programs to raise awareness about the dangers of extremist ideologies and promote peaceful and respectful discourse.

  • Support for Affected Communities: Provide support for communities and individuals affected by extremist violence or discrimination.
