Wanted: Kingdom Builders

Unless a man be born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God. Unless a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

There are billions of Christians today. Millions of them attend churches regularly. Many people read the Sermon on the Mount but how many try to live Christ’s teachings with their actions, words and deeds?

Most people argue whether one can find God, or whether perfection can be achieved or not, or what Christ meant by knowing the truth or seeing God. But this much I can say — that when Christ spoke to his disciples he meant literally that God could be seen in their present lives. And the disciples were hungering just for that truth, to know God, to be perfect even as the Father in heaven is perfect. How can a spiritual aspirant who is longing for the truth be satisfied with theology, with philosophy, with doctrines and creeds?

In our ignorance it is hard for us to believe that God can be realized. Most souls resist this idea but in every age there have been souls who saw God, spoke with him and experience yoga (divine union) with him. Teachers like Jesus, Buddha and Sri Ramakrishna not only realized God but insisted in sharing that everyone must learn to see God.

And Ye Shall Know the Truth and the Truth Shall Make You Free

What does it mean to have God born anew in our hearts? What does it mean to have Christ born anew in our hearts?

We are taught in the Upanishads there are three states of consciousness: waking, dreaming and dreamless sleep. Science says only waking and dreaming. But in fact there is a fourth state: Christ’s Kingdom of God.When this state of consciousness comes into our being it illuminates the heart and a begins a permanent transformation of character.

Christ or God consciousness is a form of consciousness that represents divine union, yoga, samadhi, nirvana, enlightenment, gnosis, oneness with all that is and all that will be (Ehyah Asher Ehyah).

Few enter this Kingdom of God.

Blessed are the Meek for they shall inherit the Kingdom

Many mistake the work Meek for weakness. The correct translation for meek is humble. Humility is the greatest trait one needs to enter God’s Kingdom. We must humble ourselves before God and submit our beings and our lives as servants and disciples of the Most High.

Devotion is not measured by how much you speak of the Lord. Devotion is measured by your actions, words, deeds and prayers. Devotion is measured by the hours that you set aside to spend time building your relationship with God. We must set aside regular hours for prayer, worship and action.

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to bee seen of them; otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

Worship means to hold your chosen ideal of God before you as an object of love and to direct your thoughts of love towards God the Father, God the Mother. Prayer, in the words of Saint Paul, is to be offered without ceasing.

That thine alms may be in secret: and the Father which teeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

True religion is not a matter for display. It is something very sacred and therefore secret. This is why Christ warns us not to make a show of worship. Genuine purity and spirituality need no advertising. If you truly give yourself to the Lord in this way, you can be certain he will give himself to you.

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

God is not decieved. He knows our needs and our innermost thoughts. He he is the Hearer behind the era, the Thinker behind the mind, the Speaker behind the tongue.

But when we pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

He knows if our prayers are hypocritical vain repetitions or coming from a sincere heart. Nothing makes God happier than a genuine heart. When your mind and speech unite in earnest prayer, that prayer is answered.

The Kingdom of God is Within You

We know Rabbi Yeshua said the I am the Way, the Light and the Truth; no one comes to the Father except through me. Based on the fact over 2 billion souls from the Christian and Islamic faiths have been influenced by Christ, we can without a doubt say that he is the way. But what does it mean when we say Christ is the way to the Father. We know the Heavenly Father, according to testimony from John the Baptist, that Christ taught God is Love. Therefore, we can say that Christ is the way to Love (God). When Yeshua says the Kingdom of God is within You, we know that God is love so his Kingdom must be made of love and goodness because God is good, he has given us the gift of life and a beautiful home on planet earth to guard and share.

Where in your body do you feel love? I feel love in my heart. I know that the Kingdom of God lives within my heart. By following Christ, we too can learn the way to tap into the Kingdom of God is by going deep within our hearts. The main teaching of Tora, the ancient scriptures of Christ and the Tribes of Aim Yisrael, is that of loving-kindness. So how can we become Kingdom workers?

We can follow the Tora’s emphasis on devotion to God:

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This teaching of the Tora by Christ is called the Shema. Shema Yisrael, or the Shema, is the central affirmation of the Tribes of Israel. This prayer expresses belief in the singularity of God, that is, in God’s oneness and incomparability. It is traditionally recited twice a day, in the morning and at night.

In numerous passages in the Gospel of Saint John, Yeshua made the point that love for the Son brings us the Father’s love:

For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. Abide in me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine, no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

Many spiritual teachers emphasize the practice of devotion because it is the easiest path to God-realization. In this path, one does not have to suppress a single emotion. A soul only strives to intensify them and to direct them to God.

With practice, eventually the thought of the beloved Lord our God starts to override our consciousness. All cravings for wrong action will start to subside and only one desire will reman: to love God and live in complete surrender to his will. This pure and selfless devotion is followed by absorption in God and ultimate union with him.

But thou, when thou prayers, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut they door; pray to the Father which is in secret; and the Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

The soul who experiences this consciousness truly enters into the Kingdom of Heaven and becomes perfect even as the Father in heaven is perfect.
