The Secret Service Director Must Resign

In light of the recent assassination attempt on President Donald J. Trump, we extend our heartfelt prayers and support to President Trump and his family during this challenging time.

Given the gravity of the situation, we call for the immediate resignation of the Director of the Secret Service. It is imperative that we address the critical failures in safeguarding our former President. The safety of our leaders must be the highest priority, and the current management of the Secret Service has clearly fallen short of this standard.

The fact that USSS allowed a rifle armed shooter within 150 yards at a preplanned event is either malice or massive incompetence. Clearly there was adequate uncontrolled dead space for a shooter to move into position and take multiple aimed shots. Watching the newsreel one can hear how proximate the shooter is by the very short time lapse between the crack of arriving bullet (supersonic) to the boom of muzzle blast (sonic).

The only positive action was an apparent 488 yard shot by one USSS sniper which despatched the assasin but it came too late after the assassin launched at least 5 rounds, wounding DJT and killing and severely others in the crowd.

Clearly USSS failed at the basics of a secure perimeter and once shots were fired their extraction was clumsy and left DJT highly exposed to follow on attacks. It looked like they had never drilled together because those responses should be effectively autonomic. Will there be accountability?

Furthermore, we demand an investigation into the appointment of non-senior personnel to key positions within the Secret Service. Typically, the Director of the Secret Service is appointed based on a combination of experience, qualifications, and recommendations. The critical nature of these roles necessitates experienced and qualified individuals who can effectively handle the immense responsibilities entrusted to them.

Additionally, we seek a comprehensive investigation into the Biden administration's decision to deny Trump's protective detail with increased security protection and resources. The refusal to allocate essential security resources undermines the safety of our leaders and raises serious concerns about the prioritization of their protection.

The American people deserve transparency and accountability in these matters to ensure the continued security and integrity of our nation's leadership.
